With enough popularity from the five seasons of Elite, Netflix is set to unveil Class, an adaptation of the Spanish series. Class is set in India and has caught the attention of everyone as it shares similarities to Elite. Let’s discuss the Elite series and why you should not miss out on the new Hindi adaptation, Class.

The backstory of Elite

With five impressive seasons up its sleeve, Elite was set in a controversial school called Las Encinas. Most students were from high-profile families in Spain, while some with little means. These students navigated their school life through romance, drama, and murder mysteries, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats to catch the next episodes.

Many reviews showed that the Spanish series showed excellent script writing. Elite provided character development across the board as many “bad guys” became “good guys” and revealed insights into the lives of teens that can become messy after school activities.

Elite is the show for you if you are hunting for a series to binge-watch and relieve some high school memories. Of course, there are many characters to remember as the series progresses. Still, the main characters were Samuel, Guzman, Nadia, Lucrecia, Rebeca, Carla, and Cayetana (featured later in the series).

According to Netflix, the sixth season of Elite is under production and set to release in 2023. In addition, this December, the streaming giant will release three new short stories following the lives of notable characters after high school. The release is as follows:

  • December 15, the short story will feature the lives of Phillipe, Cayetana, and Felipe
  • December 20, the short story will feature the lives of the two brothers, Samuel and Omar
  • December 23, the short story will feature the life of Patrick.

A new series, Class, unveils

If you have found Elite a binge-worthy series, you will love the next Netflix installment, Class. Netflix made an official teaser of the series as it shows impeccable similarities with the Spanish series.

Class features events that unfold when two worlds collide as the relationships and lives of students from wealthy families navigate Hampton International School with their dark secrets.

Class presents two privileged students in such a prestigious institution as they face the challenges of blending in with high-profile students in India. Elite lovers waiting for season six can take delight in watching this series and enjoy the romance, teen drama, and mystery infused in one series.

Production and release date of Class

The show is produced by Bodhitree Multimedia Limited and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. It stars Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Cyaawal Singh, Chintan Rach, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati, and Zeyn Shaw in leading roles.

In an interview about his experience in directing Class, director Ashim Ahluwalia said: “As a filmmaker and storyteller, Class is a universe I always envisioned designing for India. Each character’s journey is unpredictable and fascinating. Young people can be highly emotional and impulsive, creating great dramatic conflict. However, nobody remains unchanged, and these layers in the narrative make it a wild, addictive watch.” He further sings the praises of the young cast in the series, saying it was a delightful experience working with them, and they are excited about the first teaser of Class. The release date for Class is unknown.
